Designed to meet the needs of Baby Boomers, Echo Boomers and RV enthusiasts seeking an affordable Green weekend retreat, the Osprey is approximately 513 square feet of efficiently designed living space with one bedroom, one bath, a large great room and integrated decks that provide a generous living area for a weekend get-a-way or year round living.

The eye-catching, low maintenance metal exterior of the Osprey exemplifies the home’s defining contemporary design. Bamboo, cork and other natural materials are layered in throughout the interior to accentuate the home’s clean lines. The galley kitchen is the model of efficiency, integrating solid surface counters, a steam microwave, a lift oven, a barbeque griddle and modular refrigeration. The relaxing spa shower features a push button control to activate the heated floor when stepping out. Naturally, the latest in technology has not been overlooked, including programmable structured wiring, multiple zone audio and stylish LED lighting to create the perfect mood at the end of a long day.

An abundance of sustainable features allow the Osprey homeowner to go completely off the electrical grid if they so choose. Components such as SmartSun glass windows and doors, closed cell foam insulation and SIS panels that wrap the exterior provide a water resistant barrier and enhance thermal efficiency. A dual zoned ductless heat pump featuring Inverter technology ensures even interior comfort throughout. Endless hot water is available due to an integrated energy saving tankless design. For those seeking supplemental energy, the Osprey even provides the latest thin-film solar technology integrated within the standing seam metal roofing panels.

I wish I lived in Vegas, just to see this show!

I love the Osprey. I just saw the photo on another site and thought “Wow!” And then the features are terrific…integrated thin film solar panel roof, cork, bamboo….I like everything about it.

I like this size home very much, 113 sq. ft. bigger than a “park model” and much better built.

    Way to go Palm Harbor.

The “La Linda” is beautiful as well.

Globetrotter – Thanks for your review of our homes for the show! You are right – the Osprey is going to change the way people think about modern energy efficient affordable homes. Economical and Ecological. Hope you can make it to the show! But if you can’t, check back here about a week after the show – we will be working hard to get out the photos so everyone can see them.

I have a 14 home development with narrow lot configurations . I need to provide 3 bdrm/2 bath / 2 car garage single family homes at reasonable costs with cutting edge green factors . I like the highland model layout and style . I need to know if a garage can be added to the bottom level or if you have something similar that would qualify . Please contact me in order to review the possibilities . Thank you , Gabe Gonzalez Jr

Gabe – Thanks for your interest in Palm Harbor. We would love to take a look at your project. Steve Reyenga, our national VP of Marketing, will be in contact with you soon.

One more thing I would like to mention is that as opposed to trying to accommodate all your online degree training on times that you finish work (since most people are drained when they come home), try to have most of your instructional classes on the week-ends and only a couple of courses on weekdays, even if it means taking some time away from your saturday and sunday. This pays off because on the week-ends, you will be extra rested plus concentrated in school work. Thanks a lot for the different guidelines I have figured out from your weblog.

  8. Mary Says:

    Hi,

I live in San Antonio, Texas.
I am very impressed with The Highlander and The Highland design. They both have the antique look that I simply adore. I grew up in a antique home so I’m partial to them.

Are these 2 homes available here in San Antonio, Texas? We are buying a Palm Harbor home, we liked The Bonanza but I would prefer Highlander or Highland

    Please e-mail me.

    Thanks

    • Dana Ticer Says:

      Hi Mary,
I am curious of the same question you asked as we are buying as well. Did you get a reply back? We live in Texas as well in Wise County area and own land.
